PRICES Most people not familiar with wedding video production find it confusing to distinguish between various price packages and what they include,we would like to offer complete coverage of your wedding - from rehearsals to the bride getting ready, thru to the conclusion of the evening. For us to give you an individual quote and to receive our wedding demo DVD please click here ALREADY MARRIED? Already married and think it is to late for your own special wedding DVD? please refer below to "the most asked serious question" SO WHAT DO WE GET FOR OUR MONEY? (style of production) If you have done all your home work/read all the magazines/listened to everyone’s input – by the time your wedding day comes. You have already made the decisions of the type of style/locations/ambience you have chosen for your wedding – we are not going to change that, we take our job very seriously, and our job is to document the day, highlight the highlights, and present a professional memory that you will consider special. Your wedding day is a snapshot of one day in your life – albeit an extremely important day, that day will never be repeated. When you review your DVD in the future, possibly with your children, you will be amazed at the changes – friends who were single, now married themselves/children who have since arrived and growing up/special friends who sadly may no longer be with us/…oh yeah, and just how good you looked… |

ROUTINE OF SHOOTING * If appropriate and practical our cameraman would like to attend the rehearsals the night before where the ceremony will take place. This gives him opportunity to assess best camera angles with least distractions to the ceremony. And also to discuss any restrictions or protocols particular to the venue. He will also do some technical stuff that you don’t need to be bored with right now * On the day our cameraman will be with you for the entire day and will primarily spend more time with the bride – let’s face it the whole day is about her. He will arrive at the residence where the bride and bridesmaids are getting ready, so as to capture some of the chaos and emotions that the groom would otherwise never see * He will prompt the bride with some questions to express her thoughts |

* Then leave in time to talk with the groom with some questions and his thoughts of the bride * Also fit him and the celebrant with discrete radio microphones for a clear audio feed * Then of course the ceremony is under way and filmed * Some footage of family and well-wishers outside the ceremony * Off to the photo shoot to capture the behind the scenes of your still photography * The reception, including traditional scenes such as bride and grooms entrance, cutting of the cake, bridal waltz and speeches * Before the night is concluded the cameraman will interview privately some important people who were involved in the day, such as parents of the bride and groom, best man and bridesmaid – this has proven to be a real big emotional hit – everyone has already heard the rehearsed public speeches and these have been filmed, but what we want to capture is a few private words from the heart, spontaneous in the spirit of the moment before the night is over – most times the bride and groom don’t even know these have been recorded until they watch the DVD for the first time. * We use 3CCD broadcast quality digital camera's. EDITING When the night is over and all this raw footage has been captured to video, and you are enjoying your honeymoon, it’s then our work really begins. Good video editing/production is extremely time consuming, especially when you have an eye for detail. As a rough rule of thumb guide, good editing takes about “one hour per minute”. That means if a final production is sixty minutes long, someone has worked for sixty hours to produce it. When we refer to editing, this includes all post production aspects such as special effects/filters like slow motion/black and white, colour correction and scene length cropping, to make scene changes seamless and chronological in the telling of the whole story. Then there is audio – making voice and background sound appropriate to the scene, then the right music laid in the background. Presentation, you will receive five copies of DVD – the DVD disc’s themselves with chapter points, presented in a full colour hard cover case and artwork. ONE VERY SPECIAL EXTRA As an extra benefit of choosing Sunset Moon Videography, we have decided to include as a free service – not a priced add on – a pre wedding interview, that will be included at the beginning of your DVD This has some major benefits… Firstly for us it gives yourselves and our cameraman a working environment to get familiar with each other – which includes some technical stuff he will ask you to do, such as positioning radio microphones and how to look at the camera. Secondly, because our cameraman isn’t a family member, sometimes it takes a little while to work out who the important people are such as parents of the bride and groom. Therefore this contact makes things run a lot smoother. The interview need not be long, although it can take longer than some initially expect due to nerves/giggles, but this will be edited out to provide a smooth, punchier end result. |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Our cameraman will prompt you with questions such as *How did you meet? *Were you both mutually attracted? *How did he propose? *List some adjectives to describe him/her… *Also you may have a funny/special story you can both relate that has fond meaning to you both. This interview is unique in that it is a time in your life that will never be repeated, both of you are single and looking forward to the commitment of your wedding day and the associated nerves and excitement. |

WHAT DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE? When we film the pre-wedding interview, would be a good time to bring out some baby/childhood photos for us to include at the beginning of your DVD. As an exciting introduction into your DVD, you will see a montage of these photos with the audio feed we will take off your wedding vows. THE MOST ASKED SERIOUS QUESTION While filming a weddings, you get asked a lot of … well interesting questions… but by far the most asked serious question would have to be – “I’m already married and we chose not to have a professional videographer record our day, instead all we have is some disjointed footage that friends were kind enough to give us from what they recorded – is there possibly anything that can be done to salvage the small pieces of video memories that we have?” Well here at Sunset Moon Videography we are happy to be able to say a big YES !!! There is a lot that can be done with the small amount of footage you have. Firstly don’t limit yourself – you have more than just some footage, you have baby/childhood photos – you have wedding photos – and you have honeymoon photos, all of which can be edited into video with special effects such as dissolves, black and white, and music. Secondly – we can interview you both. You are now in the unique position of being able to look back in time and talk about how you met/what the wedding day was like/and how much you are still in love after X amount of years. For a quote to create a looking back in time DVD please click here, and include approx what you already have by way of video footage, baby/childhood/younger photos and wedding photos |

ABOUT US If you believe genetics play a part in career choice – that would explain Troy Burley’s involvement in wedding videography. He has produced in house documentaries in Western Australia’s Kimberly region, and North Queensland’s Western Cape York, along with filming Snowboarders in New Zealand, (in which he broke three ribs on the first day, yet was still able to finish the project.) His mother, June Burley (nee Wilkinson) was a successful professional wedding still photographer, working in Newcastle from 1949-1965.
Her father, Hilton Wilkinson operated the
Hilton Wilkinson Studio from Hunter street Newcastle, working in photographics
from 1930-1959. |

His father, Arthur Wilkinson had the distinction of being “the oldest Process Engraver actively employed in the trade in Australia – young Artie as he was usually known, left the employ of the company at the retiring age of 65 years, and now at 71 years young he’s back with us again- a picture of perpetual youth”(the process engravers monthly, feburary 1939) His father, W.T.Wilkinson started experimenting with photo-process-plat work at age 16 in 1863 in England, wrote five books on photo-process work between 1885-1900, pioneered and overcame many of the problems associated with early photographic work including etching. He died, still active at age 91 in the year 1938. |
